Griffin Electric providing installations for new Minor League Baseball Stadium

Holliston, MA (August 2025). A leading electrical contractor throughout New England and the Southeast for nearly five decades, Wayne J. Griffin Electric, Inc. (Griffin Electric) is currently providing electrical installations for the new Wilson Sports and Entertainment (WiSE) Park in Wilson, NC. This new 102,000-sf minor league baseball stadium will seat approximately 4,500 people and is expected to be completed by opening day of the next season in April 2026.

A single-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, the Carolina Mudcats will be re-branded as the Wilson Warbirds next season when they move into the new facility. The stadium will feature two party decks, a main scoreboard in center field, as well as a large Samsung video board lining the left outfield. All Major League Baseball (MLB) requirements for pitch clocks and player development will be incorporated into the project.

Griffin Electric’s Raleigh-Durham team will help bring this new complex to life, which will also be used to host future concerts and other community events. The Griffin team is responsible for the entire electrical installation on-site. The scope of work includes installing new fire alarm and two-way communication systems. Griffin Electric will also provide all data and security rough-in for the stadium.

Clancy & Theys Construction Company | Barton Malow Builders, a Joint Venture are managing construction for WiSE Park. Clancy & Theys, based in Raleigh, and Barton Malow’s Charlotte office are overseeing the project. Pendulum of Kansas City, MO is the architect, while Kimley-Horn of Raleigh is the electrical engineer on-site.
